A MESSAGE FROM THE DEPUTY COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF OF THE POLISH POLICE

Join us as exhibitors or visitors at Europoltech 2015, the International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the   Police and National Security Services. Europoltech has become a permanent feature in the calendar of the most   prestigious events dedicated to the Police and other services responsible for Poland’s security.

I am convinced that this prestigious event’sseventh edition will be an excellent forum to establish new contacts and   work out agreements that will serve both the public and private sector in building Poland’s national security system.   The receptiveness of the Police and other services to new technologies and the need to upgrade its equipment and   gear make Poland an appealing market for manufacturers of police technology and special equipment alike.

In Polish Police, upgrade measures are dedicated mainly to increasing operational efficiency and enhancing officers’ personal safety. What we mainly require is state-of-the-art policing equipment and weaponry, along with special gear used to directly protect the officers while they perform their most dangerous operations. We are also continuing the process of replacing the officers’ uniforms, along with upgrading the communications and IT equipment. Moreover, we are gradually replacing the transport equipment.

At present, one of the priority tasks is to implement the Police Headquarters and Stations Standardization Programme. In the 2013-2015 period, the Polish government has allocated PLN 1 billion under the Efficient State Strategy to new developments and refurbishment projects aimed at improving the technical condition of the Police’s infrastructure and equipment.
It is worth mentioning that when making purchases, the Police also uses other sources of funding apart from its own budget, including state budget target reserve funds, EU funds and the Public Security Modernisation Fund.
EUROPOLTECH is not just a showcase with professional, effective, efficient and technologically advanced equipment, IT tools and weaponry. EUROPOLTECH is also a platform to establish business relations between Polish and international companies.
One of the major Europoltech projects will be an exhibition of the most technologically advanced products that are of the greatest use to the Police and national security services. They will be presented under the SUPERMODERN 2015 Promotion Programme. The Award Committee, which I have the honour to chair, will select the highest-performing products which feature novel solutions. The competition winners will receive the Police Commander-in-Chief’s awards: the Gold, Silver and Bronze Police Star.

Europoltech’s noteworthy parallel events will include the 7th International Police Conference on Protecting the Financial Interests of Poland and the European Union, organised by the Polish Police General HQ, and its side seminars organised by, among others, the CBA Central Anticorruption Bureau, the Customs Service and the Police General HQ’s bureaux.
We look forward to seeing you at Europoltech 2015, the International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Services. The Polish Police and other services look forward to viewing remarkable products from the manufacturers of weaponry, equipment and gear and they encourage you to take part in their upgrade processes.
